E-gals go 2-2 at Quad State Tournament
The Apollo E-gals hit the road Saturday for the Quad State Tournament at McCracken County and finished 2-2 on the day.
AHS fell to Logan County (2-0) and McCracken County (2-0) but beat University heights Academy (2-0) and John Hardin (2-0).
Several E-gals had solid matches as Brylee Rhodes (17 kills, 8 aces, 5 blocks), Tallie Satterfield (19 kills), Aliyah Carwhiles (15 kills, 6 aces), Anslee Hopewell (41 digs), Maddi Boswell (42 assists, 8 kills), Allie Hargitt (17 assists) and Ella Rafferty (5 kills) all contributed to Apollo’s 2-2 finish.
After Saturday, the E-gals now sit at 10-5 on the season.
Apollo plays Monday at home against University Heights Academy.
Catholic goes 1-2 in Quad State at McCracken
The Owensboro Catholic Lady Aces went 1-2 at the annual Quad State Tournament at McCracken County.
Catholic took down Graves County (2-0) but fell to Ballard Memorial (2-0) and Warren East (2-0).
Cate Sights (16 kills, 5 blocks) and Madeline Castlen (18 kills, 7 blocks) led the Lady Aces while Kennedy Murphy (28 assists, 7 digs), Lilly Farmer (28 assists), Jenna Glenn (57 digs) and Emily Christian (40 digs) had solid matches on the day.
The Lady Aces play Thursday at home against Webster County.
