Two shows, one night MMA and Boxing event in Biloxi – WXXV 25

Well UFC and boxing fans, it is fight week in South Mississippi with the local Empire Fighting Championship teaming up with other promoters to host the two shows, one night event.

The event will be hosted Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Biloxi Civic Center and streamed live on UFC Fight Pass.

The national promoter Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions and Ikon Fighting Federation One made it possible for the two professional events to happen.

The event will consist of five boxing fights and eight MMA fights to tailor to both fight audiences.

There are limited tickets left available for the event and general admission is an option, but is expected to sell out quickly. Roy Jones Jr. Promotions CEO Keith Veltre said, “We’re hoping by doing two events, you know, even though they are separate events and different times from each other, but it’s at the same location that we can attract that customer from MMA also to follow boxing, boxing to MMA. So we figure Mississippi is a good spot. I mean there is great enthusiasm in this state, we’re noticing. You know we go by our social media and it’s been a great return of what people want to see and teaming up with guys like Dean Tool and Empire, we get a feel of what the local community is about.”

The doors will open at 5 p.m. Masks and social distancing will be required.
