Oregon volleyball downs Colorado for sixth straight win


The 22nd-ranked Oregon volleyball team had four players with double-figure kill totals Friday afternoon in a 3-0 win over Colorado at Matthew Knight Arena that extended the Ducks’ winning streak to six matches.

The Ducks (7-2 Pac-12 Conference and overall) won 25-18, 27-25, 25-20 over the Buffaloes (4-5).

Abby Hansen led a balanced offensive attack for the Ducks with 13 kills and hit .647. Brooke Nuneviller and Karson Bacon both had 11 kills and Taylor Williams added 10 kills for Oregon, which had a .333 hitting percentage.

Morgan Lewis and Gloria Mutiri both added eight kills.

Colorado’s only lead in the opening set was 1-0 after an Oregon service error. The Buffaloes were within 15-14 after a Rachael Fara kill, but the Ducks scored the next four points for a 19-14 lead and cruised from there.
