KKR vs RCB, IPL 2020: With an eye on playoffs, Kolkata Knight Riders take on rampant Royal Challengers Bangalore | Cricket News – Times of India

Going into the business end of this IPL, four teams have established strong claims to make the playoffs. However, none of them can yet breathe easy, as the scenario can change quickly.
Wednesday’s tie between two of them – Kolkata Knight Riders (at fourth spot) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (third) in Abu Dhabi – thus assumes significance as the winners of this clash will take a firm stride towards making last four.
Going by current form, RCB will surely start as favourites. However, KKR‘s dominance in the Super Over against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last outing will boost their confidence. New captain Eoin Morgan will look to hit back after being thrashed by RCB in their previous meeting last week.

It is easier said than done against a side on a roll. Aaron Finch and Devdutt Padikkal have been giving RCB good starts with skipper Virat Kohli also contributing handsomely.
But it is AB De Villiers who is making the difference, almost winning matches on his own. It will be difficult for the KKR bowlers to wish away the South African wicketkeeper-batsman’s 33-ball 73 in their last meeting at Sharjah, an innings that took the match away from them.
