The John Marshall and Mayo volleyball match scheduled for Saturday was postponed for health related reasons due to COVID-19.
John Marshall activities director Brian Ihrke said it was due to an “exposure” relating to at least one of the JM players.
A statement released by Rochester Public Schools said: “We are working closely with MDH (Minnesota Department of Health) regarding a member(s) of the JM varsity team that was deemed to be a close contact of a positive case of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus).
“We will continue to follow the guidance of MDE (Minnesota Department of Education) regarding this case. We cannot comment on specific facilities, buildings, classes or cases.”
