(Park Hills) The Central Rebels volleyball team looks to get back in the win column tonight as they host the West County Bulldogs at home on J98. The Rebels come into the contest at 6-3-3 on the season with their last match being a loss to Jackson in straight sets on the road. The Rebels have gone 2-1 since the Dig for Life tourney down in Cape Girardeau and head coach Tracie Casey says the season really gets underway after that tournament.
Central toppled that Arcadia Valley team in straight sets on the road. The Rebels will play six seniors on the court at times and those seniors have never lost to the Bulldogs as they currently have a seven match winning streak against West County. Coach Casey says she wants her team to play fast and thinks the progression of the offense is coming along nicely.
West County comes into the contest at just 3-2 on the season due to multiple matches being canceled due to the pandemic. However, they have high powered offense powered by senior Dori McRaven averaging 3.9 kills per set on a .288 hitting percentage. Central plays host to West County tonight starting at 6:30 with the Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show beginning at 6:15 from the T.J. Foulon Fieldhouse in Park Hills
