Bulldogs sweep Jordan-Matthews in volleyball

TRINITY – Trinity rolled past Jordan-Matthews 25-9, 25-6, 25-8 in PAC-7 2A volleyball Tuesday at Trinity.

The Bulldogs improved to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the conference.

GREENSBORO – Northwest Guilford defeated Southwest Guilford 25-19, 25-23, 25-19 in nonconference volleyball Tuesday at Northwest.

The Cowgirls, who have faced the Vikings twice already, dropped to 0-3.

WELCOME – North Davidson downed East Davidson 25-14, 25-20, 25-13 in Central Carolina 2A Conference volleyball Tuesday at North.

The Golden Eagles dipped to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the CCC.

WINSTON-SALEM – Glenn won 25-22, 25-18, 25-23 against R.J. Reynolds in Central Piedmont 4A Conference volleyball at Reynolds.

The Ladycats moved to 1-3 overall and 1-3 in the CPC.

S. ROWAN DEF. LEDFORD

CHINA GROVE – South Rowan defeated Ledford 25-7, 25-13, 25-15 in Central Carolina 2A Conference volleyball Tuesday at South Rowan.

The Panthers fell to 0-3 overall and 0-2 in the CCC.

In the JV match, Ledford won 25-22, 19-25, 15-11.

OAK GROVE DEF. LEXINGTON

LEXINGTON – Oak Grove swept past Lexington 25-10, 25-13, 25-16 in Central Carolina 2A Conference volleyball Tuesday at Lexington.

The Grizzlies improved to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the CCC.

In the JV match, Oak Grove won 25-18, 28-26 to move to 4-0.

WHEATMORE DEF. PROVIDENCE GROVE

TRINITY – Wheatmore downed Providence Grove 25-16, 25-10, 25-16 in PAC-7 2A volleyball Tuesday at Wheatmore.

The Warriors stayed undefeated at 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the PAC-7.
